Garrett was Initiated into Skillet & Trowel Lodge No.981 in November 2022 and raised in December 2023. He is also a member of Caxton Lodge No. 511, both Lodges working under The Grand Lodge of Ireland and administered by The Provincial Grand Lodge of the Metropolitan Area, which covers the City and County of Dublin.

We are delighted to welcome Bro. Martijn Caarls as our Local Secretary for The Netherlands. Martijn is currently WM of Lodge Verlichting, No 313, under the Grand East of the Netherlands.

Martijn was initiated into Freemasonry in 1994 in Ultrajectina Lodge, No. 42, in the Netherlands. He joined several additional orders soon after becoming a Master Mason including Chapter, Mark, Royal Ark Mariner, Order of the Secret Monitor, Rose Croix and Knights Templar. He is a frequent visitor to London for business and in England is a member of a Mark Lodge, an OSM Conclave, two AMD Councils and an RSM Council, all meeting at Mark Masons’ Hall.

We are pleased to announce that Anatoliy Danilov has been appointed QCCC’s Local Secretary for the Republic of Kazakhstan. He is a Master Mason in Alikhan Bokeikhan No. 1, Almaty, under the auspices of the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan. The Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan was established relatively recently on November 12, 2016: https://masons.kz/. It is recognised by a number of US Grand Lodges, among others, including the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. Anatoliy was raised in 2024; he holds a PhD in Financial Management and is the author of various journal articles and books on finance. Welcome to Anthony (Tony) UnderhilI, our new Local Secretary for Worcestershire. Tony was until 2005 based in Western Australia where he was initiated into Worcester Lodge, No. 280, serving as WM in 1998 and 1999, and later as PSGD. He is currently a PM of Royds Lodge, No. 1204, and a PPGReg in the Province of Worcester. Tony is also active in various side orders, including the Mark, RAM and Knights Templar.

As the current DC and Mentor of Royds, Tony looks to build the knowledge and engagement of members, has helped develop a web-site (https://roydslodge1204.org.uk/) and Facebook page to promote this, and has written and delivered papers in both the Craft and Mark degrees. He is currently researching the local social history of freemasonry and hopes to use this to improve members’ understanding of freemasonry within its historical context.

We ae delighted to welcome John May as our Local Secretary for Alaska.

John currently works for the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System’s Ship Escort Response Vessel System. He previously served as a Merchant Marine Officer, sailing in all positions of the deck department, including Master, aboard oil tankers, military auxiliary vessels, and articulated tub/barges. Masonically, he is a Past Master and the current Secretary of Valdez Lodge No. 4 under the Grand Lodge of Alaska; holds membership in the Grand Lodge of Maryland’s Concordia Lodge No.13 and Washington Lodge No.3, and the Grand Lodge of British Columbia and Yukon’s Yukon Lodge No.45; and is a founding member of Alaska’s first research lodge – Academia Lux Borealis – where he is currently Lodge Secretary. John is also a Past Grand Master of Alaska, the current Grand Treasurer, and serves on various committees for the Grand Lodge of Alaska. Alongside, John is a member of multiple side orders, including the York Rite and Allied Masonic Degrees, and currently serves as the Personal Representative of the Deputy of the Supreme Council for Alaska, Valdez Club, for the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, in which he is a 32°, Knight Commander of the Court of Honour.
